Arts and Craft Inspired Branding for a Handcrafted New Zealand Gin

Arts and Craft Inspired Branding for a Handcrafted New Zealand Gin

Solace is the result of one gin-lovers dedication to the traditional know-how, distilling expertise and harvesting of the unique botanicals. Which are then distilled by-hand into very small batches of London Dry and Cranberry & Raspberry Gins to linger on and savour.

To reflect the handcrafted nature of the whole gin making process from harvesting to distilling, a woodcut flora-and-fauna illustration which was inspired by the Arts and Craft movement is screen printed onto the front faces and sides of the bottles. Containing an iconic ‘S’ which defines the brand, leaves and berries wrap around in a simple two-colour palette. For a material contrast, hand applied textured labels contain product name and recipe information.
