Tusker Tea is an Australian Ceylon tea brand offering a curated range of green teas, herbal infusions, and fruit blends. As the portfolio expanded across cylindrical canisters and resealable pouches, the challenge was to create a cohesive packaging system that could clearly differentiate blends while maintaining a refined and premium shelf presence.
The concept centres on botanical storytelling within a disciplined design framework. Each blend is expressed through bespoke watercolour floral illustrations inspired by its flavour profile and key ingredients. Chamomile is interpreted through soft, muted botanicals, peppermint through cooler tonal compositions, and berry variants through layered reds and foliage. The illustrations act as sensory cues, translating aroma and taste into visual form.
To ensure scalability, a structured layout system anchors every SKU. Logo placement, typography hierarchy, strength indicators, and product information follow a consistent grid across formats. This balance allows artistic expression without compromising clarity or brand recognition.
A restrained white base enhances the delicacy of the watercolour textures while reinforcing purity and quality. Subtle colour accents further differentiate blends, creating intuitive navigation across the range.
The result is a scalable packaging that feels natural yet contemporary, expressive yet controlled. Each variant stands confidently on its own, while the collection reads as a cohesive visual family designed for growth within the premium tea category
