Anna & Jules: A Celebration of Gastronomy and Craftsmanship by Lonsdale

Lonsdale developed the positioning, storytelling, identity, and packaging for Anna & Jules, a premium catering brand by Savencia Gourmet. The brand was crafted with the expertise of a “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” award-winning chef and is tailored for chefs and restaurateurs who value quality and culinary creativity.

Lonsdale’s branding approach for Anna & Jules was rooted in the duality of creativity and heritage. The brand was envisioned as an embodiment of culinary excellence, where the rich tradition of French gastronomy meets the demands of modern-day premium foodservice professionals. To bring this to life, the agency developed a positioning that would elevate Anna & Jules as more than just a provider of fine foods, but as a creative curator of refined experiences for restaurateurs.

Lonsdale crafted a logo that reflects the premium nature of the Anna & Jules brand. The monogrammed logo evokes the heritage of artisanal craftsmanship while maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic that appeals to today’s modern chefs and restaurants.

The design of the monogram itself is both elegant and subtle. The letters “A” and “J” intertwine with precision. The typography combines fine, free-flowing handwritten elements with more structured and geometric shapes. This typographic interplay communicates a sense of freedom and creativity while remaining grounded in tradition.

The color scheme created by Lonsdale for Anna & Jules reflects the harmony between traditional French cuisine and modern design. Soft pastels, predominantly subtle shades of beige, cream, and dusty rose, form the foundation of the visual identity. These tones evoke a sense of warmth, timeless allure, and accessibility, qualities that are essential to the brand’s offering.

To complement the softness of the pastels, black custom-designed pattern were incorporated to evoke the feel of artisanal stamps. This black pattern serves as a visual signature across packaging and communication materials, adding a tactile element that contrasts with the pastel tones.

For Anna & Jules, Lonsdale created a combination of fonts that exude sophistication and accessibility. The fine, handwritten script highlights the creative aspect of the brand, evoking the artistry and care that goes into every recipe. This hand-drawn typographic element adds a personal, human touch to the visual identity, underscoring the craftsmanship behind the food offerings.

Central to the brand’s packagings is the use of original illustrations that add a layer of creative expression to the identity. Each illustration is designed to highlight the uniqueness and creativity of the recipes, offering a visual representation of the flavors and experiences that Anna & Jules brings to the table.

Anna & Jules is a brand that embodies the very best of French gastronomy while speaking to the modern demands of the foodservice industry. The branding seamlessly captures the spirit of both heritage and modernity, offering restaurateurs a premium, accessible solution for their culinary needs.
