The premiere of the Idílic Festival in Sant Feliu de Guíxols last July marked a cultural milestone on the warm Mediterranean coast. This enchanting two-day gathering brought together top-tier artists, seamlessly blending music and culture into an immersive experience that seeks to become a hallmark of Costa Brava’s summers.
The challenge lay in developing a visual and graphic identity that perfectly harmonized with the audience, the artists, and the location, by creating imagery that perfectly captures the uniqueness of the surroundings in a fresh way.
To achieve this, we immersed ourselves in the essence of the Mediterranean, drawing inspiration from the uneven terrain, the rocky ridges of the coastline, and the dance of the waves — playing with the lights on the water. We transformed these elements into a vibrant visual language synchronized with the festival’s energy and location, creating an offbeat and dynamic, typographic style.
In the iconographic system we crafted, the sun takes centre stage, radiating through a series of icons that boost the festival’s identity. We also applied a chromatic spectrum of blues mirroring the evolving times of the day, and a vibrant touch of fresh yellow to encapsulate the colour of the sun.
The Idílic Festival is more than an event: it’s a living, breathing testament to the fusion of creativity, authenticity, and the boundless energy that defines the warm summers of the Costa Brava.
