This project involved the development of a full-scale brand identity for a series of research-oriented routes within a botanical garden, designed specifically for school-aged children. The core concept, “Botanical Secrets for Young Naturalists,” positions the garden not merely as a collection of plants, but as a living, breathing archive of untold stories and enigmatic phenomena. The central premise is that every specimen in the flora possesses a unique narrative and concealed secrets, invisible to the untrained eye, awaiting discovery by curious young minds.
The created identity system is designed to function as a sophisticated toolkit for exploration. It translates this sense of wonder into a cohesive visual language that is both educational and captivating. The design solution incorporates a custom typographic mark that echoes organic growth patterns, a color palette drawn directly from the nuanced hues of the botanical world, and a series of intricate, diagrammatic illustrations that reveal the hidden mechanics of plant life—from pollination strategies to root system architectures. This extends to a suite of tactile materials, including detailed explorer logbooks, interactive maps with augmented reality triggers, and specialized signage that acts as a gateway to deeper knowledge. The entire system is crafted to transform a simple walk in the garden into a structured, multi-sensory investigative journey, fostering a profound connection with the natural world and instilling the methodologies of scientific inquiry in the next generation of botanists.
