Alessandri Design showcased their exceptional talent in creating an outstanding wine label for Weingut Auer.
Oenological etiquette dictates that one must consider not only the form but also the content. What is the story that you are looking to convey? And how do you want to convey it?
For this redesign, we focused on a Pegasus coupled with the Auer wines that were already in the stable. As well as accentuated typographic symbolism. Why? Because Carina Auer loves horses. And this particular Pegasus put in an appearance on the cover of Horace’s Satires. It probably rings a bell, somewhere. But we can help shed light on it all, as this is the bit that ties it all together: as you — and many others, by the looks of things — may not be aware, it was the Roman poet Horace who immortalised the words “Carpe diem”. A phrase with which he celebrated the pursuit of pleasure, good food, fine wine, and great company. Michael and Carina Auer definitely fall into the category of “bon vivants”. And like their wines, they are both warm, full-bodied, spirited and have that certain something when it comes to the fine art of living. Which is what makes it all such a perfect fit.
