Kushka Talks is a Bengaluru-based podcast that blends the city’s fast-paced, urban culture with the nostalgic warmth and emotional familiarity of Kerala. The brand identity was crafted to help the platform evolve from a simple community page into a credible, recognizable media entity without losing the relatability that originally built its audience. The challenge was to create a visual world that captured the playful, flavorful essence suggested by the word “Kushka,” yet avoided looking like a food brand. The solution was a bold, expressive identity rooted in South Indian pop culture—featuring retro-inspired typography, layered shadows, and a warm palette of reds and yellows that evoke comfort, energy, and personality. The logo integrates a subtle microphone element, anchoring the brand clearly within the podcasting ecosystem while maintaining its youthful charm. The visual system extends into dynamic layouts, conversational compositions, and candid black-and-white photography that highlights genuine human expression. A comprehensive sticker illustration set celebrates everything that shapes the local community—Bengaluru’s startup vibe, auto-rickshaws, Kerala stories, regional cuisine, and everyday people—transforming the brand into a cultural universe rather than just a podcast. Together, these elements build a vibrant identity that feels modern yet rooted, playful yet professional, and deeply connected to the lives of young South Indians. The result is a distinctive and memorable brand that positions Kushka Talks as an essential listen and a visual icon within Bengaluru’s growing creator landscape.
