Adelina: Crafting a Contemporary Italian Brand Experience by LMS

Adelina was envisioned as a contemporary Italian dining experience rooted in tradition yet expressed through a refined, modern lens. More than a restaurant, it was imagined as a complete sensory narrative where cuisine, culture and design come together seamlessly.

#LMS (Littlemore Services Pvt. Ltd.) was brought on as the design partner to build the brand from the ground up. Over a nine-month engagement, we worked closely with the founders to craft a cohesive identity system that translates the chef’s philosophy into a distinct and immersive brand world.

Inspired by the richness of Italian culinary heritage, where food is deeply tied to culture, community and ritual, the identity reflects a balance of elegance, warmth and restraint. At its core is a custom wordmark that feels both classic and expressive, with fluid strokes that subtly echo the romance and artistry of Italian typography. This is complemented by a bespoke monogram pattern, derived from the brand’s ‘A’, designed to create rhythm, recall and a strong visual signature across applications.

A bold yet sophisticated colour palette anchors the system, drawing from Mediterranean vibrancy while maintaining a sense of timeless luxury. Supporting this is a considered typography and layout approach that prioritises clarity, balance and negative space, allowing every element to breathe.

The scope extended into a fully integrated brand ecosystem. #LMS designed every physical and experiential touchpoint including food and bar menus, uniforms, packaging, napkins, coasters and printed collaterals. Each element was treated as an extension of the brand narrative, ensuring consistency while elevating the tactile and visual experience within the space.

The packaging system, in particular, was conceived as more than functional. It incorporates illustrated elements inspired by Italian landscapes and architecture, bringing a sense of place and storytelling into everyday interactions. The repetition of the monogram pattern across surfaces reinforces brand recall while maintaining a refined visual rhythm.

To further bring the brand to life, we conceptualised and executed a bespoke food photography direction. The imagery captures the essence of Adelina’s cuisine honest, ingredient-led and thoughtfully composed, with a balance of appetite appeal and editorial sophistication.

Every design decision was guided by the same principles that define Adelina’s kitchen: authenticity, precision and restraint. Just as the cuisine celebrates seasonality and simplicity, the brand embraces clarity and detail without excess.

The result is a cohesive and immersive identity that extends across every touchpoint, creating a seamless and memorable dining experience. Adelina is not just a restaurant, it is a carefully crafted expression of Italian culture, brought to life through design.
