Angel & Anchor is a Belfast-based branding studio in the UK. After working in the creative industry for over five years, we felt like it was time to create an extension of ourselves through a side-hustle called ‘Final Final’. This e-commerce brand is built upon the happenings of ‘that freelancer life’ – selling merch-style items such as enamel pins, shop rags, diner mugs, and other procrastination-worthy searchables aimed at creatives and studio staffers.

The brand concept was sparked from the universal insider jokes from ridiculous client requests, all-nighter revisions, invoice chasing, constant self-doubt and creative block. The brand name itself is a witty expression of the extra rounds and revisions that comes with getting a project over the line.

We’ve always been nspired by the golden-era of letraset, Eames, wood panelling, and drinking whiskey while sketching out logo ideas on an angled desk whilst sitting on a stool. Whether it’s reality or something that exists only in Mad Men, this is a brand world we set out to create, a place where we would enjoy ‘living’ in and adding to over time.

From the brand name, copywriting, identity and product design, every element of this project orbits around the experience of the creative industry and the culture of fellow pen-tool-wielding comrades. Everything is built to entertain and delight the global creative department, with details and insider jokes to geek out over. We’re super proud of this made-up, mid-century, design agency we call Final Final. It’s been our own studio therapy but also a place to supply our creative colleagues with messaging and products that provide a common ‘smirk’ and a dash of tongue-in-cheek.
