A New Generation of Branding Agency for a New Generation of Brands

A New Generation of Branding Agency for a New Generation of Brands

Over the last year Falmouth-based Kingdom & Sparrow’s positioning as a new generation of branding agency has never been more relevant. As the way people work, communicate and shop changes, they’ve been looking inward at the values and strengths that their clients need now more than ever, seizing the opportunity to bring more visual clarity to their brand.

Reaching the right clients
From pioneering start-ups to category-challenging FMCGs, Kingdom & Sparrow’s clients are innovative, often with purpose-led brands that give modern consumers a positive choice that really connects.

“We’ve always talked about our ‘Designed Differently’ approach” says Strategy Director Sophie Cowles, “but we realised that there was more we could do to tell this story for clients. We’ve elevated our brand to better showcase all the things that give these clients a truly fresh approach.”

Purposeful craftsmanship
The team at K&S combines strong strategic insight with imaginative design. By mixing modern and traditional techniques with commercial thinking, their talented illustrators, designers and strategists are always pushing creative boundaries to develop striking and purposeful brands. They’ve bought some of that craftsmanship back into their own brand with a more hand-crafted tone and supporting illustrations.

Creative change
There’s been a big shift across all industries to do better for people and the planet, particularly for food and drink brands and this is where K&S can help make a difference.

“We’ve always championed creative wellbeing and sustainable choices, but we’ve been working on higher standards for our team, our clients and consumers.” says Managing Director Daniel Gradwell. “This year we’ve become a carbon negative team and started working with local charities to support our community. With a more natural and approachable feel to our type, logo and colours, our brand now better reflects our actions.”

Out of the city
“Being by the sea in Falmouth has never stopped us building strong collaborations across the world.” continues Daniel. “We’re doing what we love, where we love which leads to a happier team, better creative work and more productive relationships.”

Over the last year more and more people have seen that distance never needs to be a boundary to impactful work and K&S is embracing that with brand imagery that celebrates their Falmouth studio and location.

Inspiring partnerships
The most exciting showcase of the agency’s brand refresh is their new website. They’ve worked with Cornwall-based web agency Solve Media, videographers Pixel Rain and 3D render studio Where Giants Roam, on a completely new design that better fits their positioning and personality.

The final result
“Our whole team has been involved with and contributed to our refreshed identity and we’re really proud of the final result.” says Sophie. “It will benefit our clients too by adding clarity to our work and what we offer them. Ultimately our brand refresh showcases who we are with a renewed sense of energy, purpose and positivity for the future.”
