Brand and Packaging Design for New Winery in Sierra de Gredos, Spain

EPICA Branding & Packaging – COMISURA Wine

COMISURA is the first wine that launches a new winery on the market located in the Sierra de Gredos, in the center of Spain (Bodega HUELLAS DEL TIÉTAR). The intention of the winery is to recover old and abandoned vines in the area due to their low profitability and to put them back into value by producing high quality wines. They work manually and very traditionally in scattered vineyards. They asked us to transfer this love to the labels and communicate it to the consumer. The other important idea to communicate by the winery is that their wines are for enjoyment, to share and to make the wine moments memorable. For all this our proposal for the design of the labels was to create an emotional experience for the consumer; simple, direct and appetizing.COMISURA in Spanish means “point of union of the lips”. For us this word contains a smile, a kiss, a sip of wine, a conversation … experiences around wine that together with the illustration of the leaf helps us to talk about nature, the land and the way of working of the cellar. With this union of ideas we come to a natural, direct, sexy and open design so that the consumer interprets it and takes it to its terrain.
