DesignCompany – Kultasuklaa Rose
We wanted to redesign the classical chocolate box, illustrated with roses, for a craft chocolate maker. The aim was to get a distinctive and luxurious packaging which yet would be cost-efficient and simple to make. For this, we developed a totally new printing method using pigment colors and added extra effects with embossing. This meant a longish product development process but the end result is impressive. The pigment colors give an elegant, subtly glittering surface which is accentuated by three-dimensionality. The new printing technology produces a strong visual identity for a chocolate box, as well as any package; an identity which hardly needs any other graphic elements to communicate a premium-level product and brand.
