Compair Design Studio, a studio specialized in spirits design, unveils its latest creation for Maison Ancrage, founded by Nathan Pillet: DERNIÈRES LUEURS, a liqueur wine resulting from a blend of Colombard and Cognac aged for 4 years.
Through this project, the studio continues a creative approach where design goes beyond aesthetics and becomes a sensitive extension of the product, inviting a visual and tactile experience that accompanies the tasting.
– A triple-layer label –
For DERNIÈRES LUEURS, Compair Design Studio imagined a triple-layer label combining different materials to create both a visual and sensory reading.
The main label brings together three papers from Fedrigoni:
• Tintoretto, selected for its textured surface reminiscent of a postage stamp, bringing character and relief.
• Cotone Bianco, allowing a precise organic embossing that subtly reveals the material.
• Supermatt with soft touch lamination, chosen for its velvety softness reminiscent of the lightness of clouds.
The ensemble is completed by Avery Dennison adhesives ensuring precision and durability, as well as a satin hot foil stamping produced by Kurz that delicately captures the light.
– A technical collaboration in service of material –
The realization of this project was carried out in close collaboration with Ruel Étiquette, a partner in technical research, material selection and the development of the triple-layer construction. This dialogue between design and industrial craftsmanship allowed the vision of the project to fully take shape, where every detail matters.
The packaging is built on the Aries 70 cl glass bottle from Hrastnik 1860 weighing only 460 grams, whose elegant silhouette structures the whole composition. The bottle is topped with a natural beechwood stopper with a laser-engraved top produced by Diam Bouchage, bringing a final signature that is both refined and natural.
– An evocation of the last lights of the day –
Graphically, DERNIÈRES LUEURS evokes that suspended moment when daylight slowly fades beyond the horizon. Textures, reliefs and materials translate the low light of dusk, the softness of clouds and the lingering warmth of the end of the day.
Every detail, from the choice of papers to the tactile sensation, has been designed to extend this atmosphere and invite a tasting where visual emotion meets the sensory experience.
