A comprehensive RaceFace MTB redesign focused on elevating the brand through a minimalist, sustainability-driven approach. The project modernized and streamlined the visual identity across MTB apparel, accessories, and protective gear, establishing a cohesive packaging system that feels refined, contemporary, and performance-driven at retail.
Custom hangtags were developed with subtle embossing to enhance tactile quality and reinforce premium brand perception. As a central component of the redesign, Andrew re-engineered the protective gear packaging to be 100% plastic-free, replacing conventional materials with an innovative paper-based structural solution that reduces environmental impact without compromising durability or merchandising performance.
Key Features of the Redesign
Quick-Glance Hangtag System
Hangtags clearly communicate product name and intended use, minimizing confusion across Race Face’s broad product assortment and improving point-of-purchase clarity.
Information-Ready Format
A modular fold-out hangtag system supports expanded product details, technical specifications, and multi-language content—allowing flexibility for international markets and future product extensions.
Hassle-Free Packaging
Protective gear packaging replaces traditional mesh bags with a streamlined paper-based alternative, eliminating friction during try-on and enhancing the in-store experience.
Paper-Based Structural Design
A custom hook-style paper mechanism integrated into the header card securely holds products on pegs while allowing easy removal and re-hanging, balancing retail security with shopper convenience and sustainability.
