Design Network GmbH Creates a Sensory Editorial Narrative for La Contura

La Contura — a Home Between Alpine Calmness and Tropical Energy. An Editorial Experience That Makes Architecture Tangible.

The Client
OFA Innsbruck is an Austrian real estate developer and architectural firm specialising in design-led residential projects that offer long-term spatial value.

The Problem
La Contura could not be conveyed through a traditional brochure or sales exposé. It was not just a building to be explained, but a concept to be experienced. The challenge laid in translating the project’s architectural depth, atmosphere and philosophy into a medium that would evoke an emotional response while remaining clear, credible and informative.

The Solution
Design Network created an editorial brochure that translates La Contura’s architectural concept into a clear and immersive visual experience. Moving beyond conventional real estate communication, the brochure balances structured information with emotional storytelling, enabling readers to experience the architecture, atmosphere and identity rather than simply reading about them.
Each residential unit is presented on an individual, removable page that can be cleanly removed and easily shared with potential buyers. This design feature transforms the brochure into a flexible sales tool, enabling potential buyers to take specific apartments of interest with them, while also enhancing clarity and usability.
A defining element of the visual identity is a set of bespoke animal illustrations that establish the project’s visual language. The name ‘La Contura’ is derived from the layout of the surrounding street where the real estate property is located; its contour becomes a central design motif and is translated into the illustrations, reappearing within each animal. The snake, tracing the contour of a path winding through the residence’s urban garden, serves as the brand’s signature mark.
The concept of this shared urban garden – the ‘Jungle’ – plays a pivotal role in the editorial narrative. Drawing inspiration from the nearby Alpine Zoo, this lush communal space is subtly incorporated into the visual language through illustrative motifs, creating a dialogue between alpine serenity and tropical vitality. Combined with refined layouts, considered typography and premium materials, the brochure becomes a tactile, informative and emotionally engaging medium that reflects the architectural quality and character of La Contura.
