Packaging design for premium distillate Apollo Nova

Apollo Nova is a premium beet distillate produced in eastern Slovakia. It was born from the ambition to create a local product with a strong, distinctive identity—one that visually stands apart from conventional distillates from the very first encounter. The goal was to develop a visual language that avoids folkloristic clichés and obvious symbolism, instead communicating sophistication, confidence, and the brand’s premium positioning.

The logo is built around the letter A, referencing the name Apollo Nova while serving as a strong and easily recognizable brand symbol. Integrated into its lower part are beet leaves growing from the ground—a subtle yet meaningful reference to the key ingredient and the product’s origin.

The packaging design is based on minimalism and attention to detail. The label is typographically clean, leaving enough space for the bottle’s shape to stand out. A distinctive visual feature is the back label, which subtly shows through the glass. The back label depicts sugar and red beets rendered in a copper tone. This accent adds warmth, depth, and a sense of quality, while also referencing the soil and raw material from which the distillate is made. The front is complemented by a seal symbolizing an embossed beet—an element that reinforces the brand’s authenticity and craft character. The design is completed by the slogan “Taste the Earth,” engraved directly into the bottle’s stopper, connecting the visual identity with the physical experience of the product.
