We collaborated with @by.skojie to bring this conceptual project to life for @designerbriefs
Peppa Please is a pure art-direction experiment, a playful exploration of storytelling, humour, and controlled chaos. At the heart of the concept is Peppa: a lazy, slightly delusional pig utterly convinced they’re ready to leap through a flaming circus hoop. Peppa embodies ambition without restraint, chaos without malice, and overconfidence without awareness. This whimsical character became our guiding muse, shaping the brand’s energy, tone, and visual narrative.
The circus became our narrative framework, providing a rich vocabulary of motion, spectacle, and pauses between acts. Each circus element informed our approach to hierarchy, pacing, and brand personality: acts became moments of impact, pauses became subtle visual cues, and after-hours moments added depth and humanity. The hexagon-shaped bottle and packaging were designed to reference the geometry of a circus chapiteau, grounding the eccentricity in a subtle structural motif.
Visually, we leaned into contrast and tension. Bold colour palettes clashed with gritty textures, while tattoo-inspired illustration styles added a raw, handcrafted quality. We intentionally pushed the brand away from polished perfection and toward something tactile, human, and slightly rebellious. The label design plays with balance and distortion, combining strong typographic hierarchy with displaced details, hand-drawn marks, and print-like imperfections. Every element was designed to feel energetic, worn, and a little unhinged—as though this travelling street circus had been on the road a little too long and left a mark on everything it touched.
Beyond just packaging, Peppa Please was an exploration in narrative branding. We challenged ourselves to see how far a concept could stretch, testing visual tension, character-driven storytelling, and the balance between chaos and cohesion. This project wasn’t about creating a market-ready hot sauce—it was about experimentation, pushing boundaries, and letting imagination run wild while still retaining intention and craft.
It’s loud. It’s chaotic.
It’s probably a bad idea.
And that’s exactly the point.
