One morning, Gallo’s founding father Victor Guedes awoke to the sound of a rooster crowing loudly in the morning sun, a quiet yet defining moment that sparked his original vision for the brand. This founding story remains central to Gallo today and sits at the heart of the refreshed identity. It is expressed through a warm golden circle, reminiscent of that illuminating moment, while also acting as a respectful nod back to the brand’s heritage packaging and long-standing presence in kitchens across generations.
This bright glow halos the iconic Gallo rooster, a proud and enduring symbol of authenticity, leadership and Portuguese heritage, sitting confidently atop the wordmark. Its elevated position reinforces the brand’s confidence and recognisability on a global stage. The identity is signed off with Gallo’s provenance, founding date and Victor Guedes’ signature, adding layers of credibility, craftsmanship and generational expertise. Together, these elements strike a careful balance between heritage and clarity, allowing Gallo’s most recognisable assets to lead while feeling contemporary, consistent and relevant across international markets.
Today, Gallo’s enduring legacy is carried forward globally through Gallo Worldwide, a joint venture majority-owned by Unilever. This partnership supports the brand’s continued growth and global reach while respecting its origins, values and deep connection to quality Mediterranean food culture.
