Cristina Massena’s sculpture “Without Beginning or End”, exclusively designed for the entrance to Menin’s winery, is an allegory to the unique and typical routes of Douro’s vineyards, where the angles create an unparalleled landscape between the hills. Inspired by this piece of art, each “Maria Fernanda” bottle is a page of this story without beginning or end, an intricate narrative that is notably unfolding.

Just as the name “Maria Fernanda” suggests a female figure with characteristics of nobility, courage, and an inclination towards peace, this edition embodies these qualities too. The image created, like Maria Fernanda’s bold hands, reflects the expression of patience, effort and absolute contemplation.

To enhance this sensorial journey, where wine becomes a link between the past, present, and future, just as in the work “Without Beginning or End”, the agency transposed to the labelling an adornment that replicates the texture, shape and colour of the sculpture made in corten steel. About the wine:

MENIN Maria Fernanda is born from the selection of micro-plots of 11 hectares of old vines with identification of 54 grape varieties at MENIN DOURO ESTATES. The plots are exposed to the East and have schist soils, with altitudes ranging from 120 to 260m, combining concentration, freshness and elegance. Among the old vineyards of the Douro, where time turns into wine, something very special was born. A creation that reveals the soul of the terroir, with elegance and complexity.
