Omdesign Translates the Philosophy of Time Into Havendo Tempo Wine Design

Inspired by the name “Havendo Tempo” — meaning “if there is time” — the design is a visual and tactile celebration of life’s most precious moments. It honours the art of patience, the beauty of slowness, and the culture of those who know how to savour time, in every sense of the word.

At the heart of the design is a subtle yet powerful symbol: the hourglass. Elegant and minimal, it serves as both metaphor and motif, brought to life through a custom-cut label that traces its contours. This hourglass-shaped etiquette, paired with refined textures, becomes the narrative centerpiece — reminding us that excellence takes time, and great wines are the result of waiting well.

Materials were chosen with precision and care. The label uses a textured fine paper, featuring a sophisticated interplay of embossing, selective varnishes, and gold stamping, which highlights the logotype and elevates the entire composition. The palette — black, white, and gold — reinforces the wine’s premium positioning, while echoing the duality of time: day and night, stillness and movement.

The design also embraces the timeless codes of elegance through the use of seal wax — in deep black and luminous gold — creating a sense of superior quality. It’s a visual promise of the care and patience that has gone into every bottle. But this project is more than a visual exercise. It’s a tribute. To the people of the Alentejo, whose lives are guided by calm, by ritual, by the land. To the craft of winemaking, where time is not wasted, but invested. And to the wisdom of slowness, a luxury we often forget to claim.

Through Havendo Tempo, Omdesign® translates a way of life into a strikingly distinctive design, one that commands attention by whispering — not shouting. It is minimalist, yet rich in meaning. Modern, yet rooted in tradition. And like the finest wines, it rewards those who take the time to truly experience it.
