on srl Designs the Branding Masterclass Series as a Modular Tool for Strategic Co-Design

The Branding Masterclass series includes three thematic courses dedicated to the co-design processes used in ONLAB’s workshops. Each masterclass explores a different phase of the design method and provides concrete tools to apply it effectively:

* Brand DNA Method — to define the strategic foundations, core values, personality and differentiating promise of a brand.
* Name Identity Rules — to build a solid and replicable process for brand naming.
* UX Design Flow — to design the fundamentals of every digital ecosystem: objectives, user personas, information architecture and wireframes.

For each course, we designed a dedicated packaging system capable of containing a set of posters (in varying numbers depending on the course), a deck of cards, a box containing customised “100-dollar technique” banknotes, and explanatory leaflets describing the tools, exercises and methodologies.

Concept and Packaging Design

The project was born from the need to turn complex facilitation tools into a physical, modular and professional system capable of supporting designers and facilitators during live workshops.

The main challenge was to design packaging that could:

1. hold 5 to 8 posters in 100×70 cm format;
2. keep posters separate, so each sheet can be pulled out quickly during a session;
3. ensure posters are extremely durable, reusable multiple times and attachable to walls without tearing;
4. support different kit configurations, purchasable individually or together.

To meet these requirements, we developed an outer pack that houses the posters rolled along the short side (70 cm) and arranged inside a cartridge-style insert, designed to roll onto itself and featuring a series of holes to:

* host different poster configurations depending on the purchased course;
* adapt to future educational modules.

At both ends of the cartridge, two structural compartments were designed to perfectly fit the two dedicated boxes: one containing the operational cards, the other the customised “100-dollar” banknotes.

The result is a compact, modular, transport-friendly kit engineered to withstand the intensity of professional use.
