Orocha Matcha is a premium matcha café brand, and the goal of this project was to create a visual identity that embodies the calm, earthy, and natural essence of matcha while giving the brand a modern, inviting, and approachable feel. The design approach focused on a harmonious balance between sophistication and warmth.
The color palette is inspired by matcha tea leaves, using shades of green and soft natural tones to evoke freshness, authenticity, and a relaxing atmosphere. Typography choices are elegant, clean, and minimal, reflecting a premium feel while remaining approachable. The logo and illustrations incorporate matcha leaf motifs and organic shapes, giving a handcrafted, authentic aesthetic. Overall, the style is minimalist and modern, yet warm and welcoming, reflecting the cozy and natural experience of a matcha café.
Orocha Matcha’s brand personality is calm and relaxing, natural and organic, and premium yet friendly. The identity was designed to be versatile across multiple touchpoints from café signage and packaging (cups, tea boxes) to digital presence and merchandise such as matcha tins and accessories.
This cohesive brand identity helps Orocha Matcha stand out in a competitive café market by projecting an image that is both high-quality and memorable. It reinforces the brand’s promise of a premium matcha experience and creates a visual language that enhances both the product and the serene café environment.
