Pauline’s Wine Bar is a conceptual brand identity project created to capture the warmth, charm, and lived-in character of a neighborhood gathering spot in Islington, London. The aim was to build a visual language that feels both welcoming and refined, rooted in the pleasure of sharing wine, conversation, and simple food with the people who matter. The identity leans into a collage-driven aesthetic, using hand-painted watercolor illustrations of fruits, wine bottles, glasses, and everyday table objects. These elements were cut, layered, and arranged into dynamic compositions that celebrate the tactile, imperfect beauty found in real moments around a table. The intentional irregularity of the watercolor textures—soft edges, unexpected blends, and subtle marks—adds a sense of spontaneity, echoing the unpolished charm of a night spent opening a bottle with friends.
By pairing crafted details with expressive, loosely assembled forms, the brand balances sophistication with playfulness. The visual system feels contemporary yet personal, inviting guests into an experience that is relaxed, creative, and full of warmth. Colors, patterns, and illustrations move with a sense of rhythm, almost like a conversation unfolding between people who know one another well. In every touchpoint, the identity reflects the spirit of hospitality that defines Pauline’s: welcoming, lively, and endlessly human. At its core, the brand is built on a simple belief — that good wine brings people together and turns ordinary moments into memorable ones.
