Sri Krishna Sweets by Muralis — A Legacy Redrawn
For over seven decades, Sri Krishna Sweets has been more than a brand — it’s been a part of South India’s cultural fabric. A name that stands for devotion, celebration, and the unmistakable taste of ghee.
But with time, its visual identity had splintered. Hundreds of packs, posters, and stores carried different languages and expressions.
The soul remained strong — but its voice needed harmony.
That’s where we began.
Our role was to rebuild a visual system that could hold the brand’s 75-year-old legacy and carry it confidently into the future.
The Idea — ‘Tradition Illustrated’
The story started with a name: Krishna.
We found our inspiration in Pattachitra, an ancient Indian art form known for its devotion-filled tales of Krishna.
Through its fine lines, ornate details, and storytelling rhythm, we found a mirror to the brand’s own values — craft, culture, and connection.
We reinterpreted this art into a modern illustration style — one that feels rooted, yet relevant.
Each character, pattern, and color became part of a new visual language that celebrates both heritage and modern design.
The Design Language
The rebrand was built around three key elements:
• Illustrations inspired by Pattachitra — depicting devotion, celebration, and everyday joy.
• Patterns inspired by Kolam — a Tamil art form symbolizing prosperity and welcome.
• Color System led by Royal Blue, a nod to legacy, complemented by festive hues for depth.
Supported by bilingual typography and clean structure, the identity now moves seamlessly across packaging, stores, and communication.
The Outcome
What began as a quest for consistency evolved into a complete reimagination of a cultural symbol.
The new identity unites the emotion of tradition with the precision of modern design — creating a system that’s timeless, scalable, and deeply human.
