Dizen Designs Caelum Icono as a Celestial Tribute to Heritage and Harmony

Caelum: A Journey Written in the Stars

Caelum is a family project founded in 2009, born from a deep love for the land and a shared dream among its founders. After more than a decade of tireless work cultivating the vineyard and perfecting the art of growing high-quality grapes, the family decided to close the circle of the vine’s lifecycle by crafting their own wines. With passion and patience, they dedicate themselves each day to achieving the highest standards of quality, guided by respect for the environment and a firm commitment to maintaining a family-based structure that ensures care, attention, and authenticity in every bottle.

From the very beginning, we have accompanied Caelum in building its visual identity and in designing the labels that bring its wines to life. Over the years, we’ve seen the evolution of this project and the spirit that drives it. That long-standing partnership made it especially meaningful when the family asked us to design the label for their most ambitious creation — ICONO, the winery’s emblematic wine.

Understanding the roots of the project firsthand, we felt that this new label had to be more than just a visual piece — it had to be a tribute. ICONO would become a heartfelt homage to Mercedes, the soul, founder, and guiding light of Caelum.

And so, the concept was born — a label that tells her story, blending mythology, nature, and destiny.

The Story Behind the Label

Under a vast sky sprinkled with stars, a woman arrives in Mendoza with a dream and the unwavering determination to make it come true. A small house becomes her shelter in those first uncertain years. There are no guarantees, only the earth beneath her feet and the infinite sky above her. In the stillness of the nights, with the Caelum constellation gleaming overhead, she imagines the future she wishes to build — a place where the land and the heavens meet.

With time, her vineyard flourishes. Alongside the vines, the pistachio trees she planted with her own hands take root and thrive. The estate begins to breathe with its own rhythm — a microcosm of life where vines and trees coexist, each nourishing the other in a delicate and natural balance. Everything seems aligned, as if written in the stars: the soil, the seasons, the cycles of growth.

Her zodiac sign, Libra, is not merely an astrological symbol but a philosophy that guides every decision. It reveals itself in the precision of her choices, in the patience of each harvest, and in the constant pursuit of harmony between human care and nature’s wisdom.

Today, that long journey finds expression in ICONO, a wine that encapsulates the essence of Mercedes’ vision and the legacy of Caelum. The label becomes her celestial portrait — a star map that unites past and present, tracing the path from her first dream to its realization. The Caelum constellation, once her silent companion in the Mendoza nights, now shines on the bottle as a symbol of perseverance, balance, and destiny.

More than a wine, ICONO is a reflection of everything she found and built — the equilibrium between earth and sky, between effort and reward, between the human hand and nature’s timeless order.

It is, in every sense, a story written among the stars.
