Millet Matters by Studio Six F, A Modern Identity for 100% Millet-Based Foods

Millet Matters came to us with a mission to reintroduce India’s ancient grains to everyday diets. A brand built on honesty, purity, and nourishment, it celebrates 100% millet-based foods made for modern living. The challenge before us was to make millets feel exciting and desirable again, not old-fashioned, intimidating, or niche. We needed to build a brand that could stand for health and authenticity while still looking vibrant, accessible, and contemporary.

At Studio Six F, we crafted the brand from the ground up, starting with strategy, positioning, and brand identity, followed by packaging systems for their diverse range of healthy premixes. The product lineup included pancake, khichdi, dosa, and chilla mixes everyday foods designed for convenience without compromise. Our goal was to ensure that the brand felt cohesive across all variants while allowing each product to carry its own distinctive flavor and personality.

Inspired by the Explorer archetype, the brand identity embodies curiosity, discovery, and authenticity. The visual language combines a bold color palette, approachable typography, and a millet-inspired symbol that reflects the idea of growth and rootedness. Each element of the identity system was created to capture the essence of adventure in food—encouraging consumers to rediscover something familiar yet refreshingly new.

The packaging design was built to stand out on shelves through a strong visual hierarchy and clear communication. Each pack highlights the product’s freshness, flavor, and everyday ease, while the bright tones and illustrations make it feel cheerful and confident. The result is a design system that feels distinctly modern yet unmistakably Indian.

This wasn’t just about millets. It was about making healthy, conscious eating look exciting again a reminder that what we eat, where it comes from, and how it’s grown all matter, both for us and for the planet.
