What was required of Somewhere Else for Mr. Bucket was a flagship identity that could resonate with ideal customers, elevate perception, and stand tall in a crowded artisanal chocolate field.
The challenge was to convey Mr. Bucket’s inventive and genuine spirit, while giving it the weight and polish matching its high quality, handmade craft.
A grounded strategy for building a foundation that scales was first developed—balancing playfulness with premium presence, and giving the team clarity to move confidently and consistently across all products and touch points.
For stronger recall, Mr. Bucket’s word mark was refined using characters that appear to be in motion and feel equal parts playful and personal. The typography is airy and refined, with a grounded colour palette tying bold core colours with accent hues for seasonal or special editions that keeps the brand playfully elevated. These elements are tied together by a boldly minimal graphic system that flexes and adapts across touch points with ease.
Designing with Mr Bucket’s customers in mind—the brand’s full suite of packaging was designed to feel almost collectible: nice enough to display in one’s home in full sight. From bars to bonbons, dragées and gift sets, every product hints at whimsy while steering clear of frivolity, remaining grounded and true to the brand’s responsible mission. As a champion for quality Asian chocolate, every choice was made to set a new standard for artisanal chocolate packaging in the region.
The result is a system that is adaptable and unmistakably Mr. Bucket—thoughtful in its restraint, elevated in its craft, and rooted in its mission to reimagine Asian chocolate.
As Mr. Bucket continued winning hearts with its delicious and fun handcrafted chocolate, it needed an updated look that would reflect its growing ambition of sharing Asian chocolate with the world—and that’s where we came in.
