Bais is a graffiti writer from Krasnodar whose works stand out because of their sharp energy, strong geometry, and constant dialogue with the urban environment. His murals and tags are not only a way to mark space but also a reflection of his personal rhythm and visual philosophy. Observing the way he builds letters with confidence and precision inspired me to transform that same spirit into a typographic form. Instead of imitating his style directly, I focused on capturing the structural principles hidden behind his lines and translating them into a font system.

The result is a display typeface designed entirely on the foundation of angles — 45°, 90°, and 135°. Every glyph is constructed through this restricted grid, which forces a unique visual consistency across the alphabet. Such limitation becomes an advantage: the font looks sharp, bold, and powerful, while also carrying the raw aesthetics of street writing. At the same time, it preserves clarity and legibility, making it suitable for posters, titles, and experimental design projects.

By reducing curves to strict diagonals and right angles, the typeface gains a mechanical quality, but the inspiration from graffiti keeps it alive and expressive. The letters feel as though they are cut from concrete or sprayed with quick movements, echoing both urban hardness and creative freedom. This balance between system and expression reflects my intention: to create a font that not only pays homage to BAIS but also functions as an independent design tool, bridging street culture and digital typography.
