Mayi is a very special salt producer in Türkiye.

The journey of Mayi’s salt sources, dating back approximately 225 million years, has given this salt its unique properties. At that time, the Tethys Sea, which lay over Anatolia, accumulated underground as the Earth’s surface gradually took its current form. As the Earth’s surface gradually dried, it formed pure and natural salt rocks. These salt rocks, located underground in the Delice region of Kırıkkale, have preserved their natural beauty for millions of years thanks to their hidden location.

Nowadays, this salt, formed by hot water emanating from a fault line melting these salt rocks and collecting red earth minerals, brings them to the surface in liquid form. It reaches your kitchen, preserved in all its flavor and naturalness, and concludes its long journey by adding flavor to your life.

In addition to common table salt, Mayi has also achieved significant success in Europe and many other continents with its innovative products: liquid salts, flavored salts, and bath salts.

Where did we fit into this story?

Mayi wanted to launch a special product for the 8th anniversary of its history. The salted dark chocolate will be produced in limited quantities and given to special guests at a celebration to test their tastes. It is now available for sale to all consumers intermittently.

What Design Method Did We Follow?

Mayi requested minimal, pastel tones for this chocolate. Therefore, we opted for a pastel blue and light cream tones. This blue color comes from Mayi’s salt sources. The icon we designed for its 8th anniversary highlights the importance of this chocolate.
