Brody Associates Powers Footbao with a Futuristic Identity for Global Football Discovery

Neville Brody has artfully crafted a striking new brand identity for Footbao  a visual system that includes a custom logotype, a bespoke typeface, and an evocative icon suite tailored for both web and mobile environments. This design not only looks stunning, but encapsulates Footbao’s bold ambition: to redefine football through global culture and AI‑powered inclusivity.
Footbao is emerging as a transformative digital platform that connects undiscovered football talent from under‑represented regions with clubs across Brazil, Europe and beyond, including Italy’s Serie A club Lecce, already partnering through the platform to bring prospects to international exposure. At its core, Footbao acts like a TikTok for aspiring players users upload clips of their skills, which are first assessed by AI before passing on to human analysts if they meet club‑specific criteria.
The platform currently hosts over 100,000 registered players, most from Brazil, and Footbao has already facilitated training stints for several teenagers in Lecce’s youth system. In one campaign, five Brazilian players selected from a shortlist of 2,000 via Footbao’s algorithms and scouting process spent two weeks training in Italy. The platform is already accelerating female participation, and aims to double the share of girls on the platform from around 20% today to 50% by 2027, coinciding with Brazil hosting the Women’s World Cup.
Footbao aims to democratize talent access, giving players equal opportunity regardless of background, geography or socio‑economic status: “everyone has the right to equal opportunity in football… all you need is to be seen”. Its AI‑powered mobile app and dynamic social community serve as both showcase and marketplace—monetized via premium subscriptions, sponsorships, advertising, branded content, predictive analytics for clubs, and talent management services tailored to clubs, brands and investors.
Footbao’s launch campaign in Brazil, headlined by Brazilian legend Denilson, underscored its mission: a social network fully dedicated to football, offering discovery, exposure and entertainment for emerging talent and fans alike. Built on a team of founders and advisors with deep roots in sports, media and finance—including Francesco Ciringione, Boris Collardi, Nick Rappolt (formerly Burger King/META/Google consultant), and AI advisors with ties to the UN and high‑level sports orgs—Footbao blends strategic vision with deep operational expertise.
This newly minted identity from Brody Associates gives visual voice to Footbao’s unique proposition: bridging football and technology, amplifying diversity, and crafting pathways for next-generation talent to be discovered, marketed and signed. The custom logotype exudes energy and modernity, the bespoke typeface communicates clarity and precision, while the icon system creates a flexible visual language fit for digital touchpoints, app interfaces and storytelling.
Through this visual system, Footbao’s ambition to be the next‑generation force in football’s future is given concrete form. It now has the visual tools to match its mission: turning local talent into global opportunity, weaving data, design and culture into a singular brand experience that pushes football forward.
