The Ho Chi Minh Diamond Bourse (HCMDB) is the first and only official diamond exchange in Vietnam  a pioneering institution positioned to become a central hub for diamond trading in Southeast Asia. In a market where trust, prestige, and global alignment are essential, the creation of a brand identity for HCMDB required a careful balance between international standards and local cultural integrity.

Monday Creative was entrusted with building a comprehensive identity system that could reflect the gravity of an international trading platform, while still resonating with the sophistication and cultural richness of Vietnam. The key challenge was to create a brand that instills confidence across B2B stakeholders  from global suppliers and investors to local jewelers and institutional regulators while remaining versatile enough for multi-format, multilingual applications.

The logo design is built from two main inspirations: the precision and brilliance of a cut diamond, and the curved flow of cross-border trading routes. The result is a modular, symmetrical icon that symbolizes structure, stability, and continuous movement. It serves both as a recognizable symbol and a foundation for an extended visual language.

The supporting identity system features a classic serif typeface that exudes elegance and is reserved for ceremonial, institutional, and high-profile touchpoints. This is paired with a functional grotesk font for legibility and adaptability across forms, from documentation to digital interfaces. A carefully selected color palette  deep emerald green, ivory white, and heritage gold  evokes luxury, heritage, and credibility.
