Pencil Studio Elevates The Workstation With a Visual Language Rooted in Collaboration and Clarity

We’ve had the pleasure of working closely with The Workstation on the launch of their exciting new rebrand—an identity that truly captures the essence of what sets them apart in the world of commercial furniture and spatial design. While furniture is at the heart of what they do, their true value lies in their deep-rooted expertise: understanding precisely what pieces work best together to meet the unique and diverse needs of each client. It’s not simply about selecting furniture that looks good—though aesthetics are certainly important—it’s about curating pieces that work in harmony to serve both functional and environmental purposes. This is where their insight shines, and where the magic really happens.

To reflect this core philosophy, the visual identity takes an intentionally minimal and refined approach. The furniture itself is often silhouetted in monochrome—either black or grey—shifting the emphasis from the object itself to the strategic thinking behind its placement. It’s not about showcasing a single chair or table, but rather the transformation that occurs when two or more pieces are brought together in a considered way. That’s the creative ‘sweet spot’ we wanted to highlight.

This moment of intersection—when two silhouettes overlap—reveals a burst of visual energy, a spark that represents the environments The Workstation helps to bring to life. These layered compositions symbolize collaboration, spatial intelligence, and purpose-driven design—core values at the center of their practice.

To support and amplify this rebrand, we developed a full suite of supporting materials including motion graphics that bring this concept of transformation to life in a dynamic way, custom illustrations that enhance storytelling across various brand touchpoints, and a brand new website that showcases The Workstation’s capabilities, ethos, and portfolio in a bold, engaging, and user-friendly format.
