Studio One Eighty had the opportunity to reimagine Merune’s brand and packaging, creating an identity that reflects both the enduring beauty of nature and the legacy of a company dedicated to wellness for generations. Every decision made throughout this project was rooted in the question of how to visually express purity, longevity, and the calming presence of nature in a way that feels modern yet timeless.
Merune’s philosophy centers on authenticity, simplicity, and a deep connection to the earth. Their soaps, made with wild-foraged ingredients, offer more than skincare. They provide a return to what is pure and nourishing. This commitment to using nature’s most honest ingredients inspired us to design packaging that feels like an extension of that experience. The goal was to create something that feels as beautiful and thoughtful on the outside as the products do within, turning every unboxing into a small, intentional ritual of self-care.
We combined strong, elegant typography with hand-painted vintage artwork to echo the resilience and beauty found in the natural world. The custom illustrations, inspired by botanical studies and time-worn apothecary labels, add a sense of history and craftsmanship while keeping the designs visually rich and engaging. An earthy, grounded color palette ties the brand to its roots, carefully selected to evoke the landscapes and wild environments where Merune’s ingredients are foraged. Every element from font selection to the fluid, organic illustration style reinforces Merune’s deep commitment to purity, well-being, and the timeless connection between people and the land.
This project was not only a visual exploration but also a sensory one. We considered how the packaging would feel in hand, how it would stand confidently on the shelf, and how it could become part of a consumer’s daily rituals. Merune stands apart by honoring its own enduring story, quietly confident and inspired by the wild beauty that shapes it. This is a brand that chooses patience over trends, quality over shortcuts, and authenticity over anything else.
