The labels of the Rocky Coast wine line are designed to create a mysterious atmosphere in the twilight. The pictures are printed in one color with fluorescent paint that will glow and shimmer under candlelight. The line includes three white and three red wines. For quick identification, they are divided by color. Riesling, Muscat and Tokaj are made in green. Carmenere, Merlot and Shiraz – in purple. In the case of red wines, we moved away from the usual red for red wines and took a color closer to the grape itself – purple.
The labels feature dogs made from grape-like shapes. Everything about the label emphasizes the winery’s closeness to nature and natural production. The animals’ outlines are hand-drawn, and their character matches the taste of the wine. The custom font created for the winery serves the same purpose.
The font was created for the logo and the name of the grape variety from which the wine is made. It has arched shapes reminiscent of the terrain – rocky shores. The display works well with large names and complements the hand-made pictures. It is set on a grid, which is the same for all labels, thus forming a fanciful pattern around the grapes. The additional font, which is used to set the characteristics of the wine, serves as a contrast to the natural and hand-made motif.
The logo is an oval in the shape of a grape with two capital letters inside, which are an abbreviation of the name of the winery. Nature, precision and elegance became the basis of this style. The typography works on its own unchanging grid, which lies on top of the hand-made soft drawings, but they do not argue with each other. They are connected by an elegant font, standing in the middle between unpredictable nature and precise technology.
