Rise & Amplify Puts Local Arts, Community, and History at the Forefront of BuryBID’s Colourful Rebrand

The Bury BID (Business Improvement District) is a commercial town-centre area in which local business invest collectively to improve the environment they operate in.

This aims of this project was to shape a new brand identity and develop the digital presence for the Business Improvement District.

During our research we took inspiration from the town’s heritage—its people, its stories, and its sense of place. Every subsequent design decision was made to reflect the energy, history, and ambitious business spirit of Bury.

We used photography, graphics and illustrations to create a character-driven identity. The result is a visual narrative that resonates with those who live, work, and visit the town centre.

The design weaves together colour, pattern, and form—celebrating local arts, community, history. The logo takes inspiration from Bury’s industrial past in textiles—the ‘b’ letterform loops and threads into a symbolic logomark.

An organic, flowing illustration style ties into the iconography and supporting graphics, which reference the town’s architecture and landmarks.

At the heart of the identity is the photography. Shot with warmth and honesty—capturing the faces, streets and atmosphere of Bury.

The typography for the project is clean and accessible, using sans-serif fonts to introduce balance and support to the overall design.

We also designed and developed a new website for the BID—a practical, accessible, go-to hub for everything related to the district.

Altogether, the project serves as open invitation to visitors, while offering a confident sense of identity to local people and local business.
