The result is Tequila Komos, a celebration of refinement and indulgence, inspired by the Greek God of revelry. Every element—from the spirit itself to the vessel that holds it—has been meticulously considered to reflect the essence of true Mediterranean luxury.
The design process drew inspiration from antiquity, exploring forms ranging from amphora to aryballos before arriving at a modern reinterpretation of the alabastron. This elongated silhouette, with its sculptural presence, conveys a sense of timeless elegance. Embossed symbols across the surface pay homage to the sun, sea, and salt—integral elements of the Mediterranean identity—while the handcrafted ceramic bottle preserves the tequila’s pristine character. Designed with sustainability in mind, the bottle is meant to be repurposed; its label, affixed with a specialized adhesive, peels away effortlessly, allowing it to be transformed and cherished long after its contents have been savored.
A testament to masterful artistry, each bottle is individually handcrafted from vitrified porcelain by Anfora, a revered Mexican ceramics house with a legacy dating back to 1920. The bottles undergo a meticulous glazing process, where they are hand-dipped into a reactive glaze before being kiln-fired, resulting in a high-gloss finish that is both lustrous and distinctive. Because of this process, no two bottles are alike—each one a singular work of art, as unique as the tequila within.
At the heart of the Komos identity is its striking signature blue, a radiant hue that recalls the Aegean waters and the depth of the Mediterranean sky. This luminous, high-gloss porcelain finish has become an unmistakable hallmark of the brand.
