Exhibition of Formula 1 Cars Lotus 25-72

Style for the exhibition of the legendary Formula 1 cars Lotus 25 and Lotus 72, developed for the 1962 and 1970 seasons respectively.

The Lotus 25 was a racing car designed by Colin Chapman for the 1962 Formula One season. It was a revolutionary design, the first fully stressed monocoque chassis to appear in Formula One. In the hands of Jim Clark it took 14 World Championship Grand Prix wins and propelled him to his 1963 World Championship title. Its last World Championship win was at the 1965 French Grand Prix. It was the first Formula One car to use Esso fuel.

The Lotus 72 is a Formula 1 racing car of the Lotus team, various modifications of which competed in races from 1970 to 1975. It is considered one of the best Formula 1 racing cars of all time, according to the authoritative British motorsport magazine Motor Sport – the best.
This chassis was another revolutionary solution by the brilliant designer Colin Chapman. The wedge-shaped body contributed to better air flow and increased speed. The radiators located in the side pontoons, unlike the classic ones in the nose, were much better in terms of aerodynamics. Another innovation was the brake drums located inside the body.
The car debuted in the 1970 season. The design was very successful and Jochen Rindt won four races on it. However, during the qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix, while testing a version of the chassis without a rear wing, Rindt flew off the track and died. He was replaced by Emerson Fittipaldi, whose successful performance allowed the team to win the Constructors’ Cup, and Rindt to become world champion posthumously.
