When vintner Callum Roy shared his vision for Libation—a wine that would honour big, bold, Barossa reds and celebrate all the magic moments a glass of it brings—we jumped right in. We knew this was an opportunity to push some serious boundaries in packaging to create something extraordinary.
Libation represents a collection of moments. Some are fleeting, others linger, and some against all odds are drinkable. We raise a glass to life’s most treasured occasions, and all the simple joys that fill the gaps in between.
In every drop of Libation wine there is a story, a tale of rich fruit, magnetic charm, and unyielding passion from the team who craft each bottle. This is highlighted by a peelable strip from the label, unveiling a distinctive quote on each bottle using variable print.
Admittedly, we did not make life easy for ourselves. We were determined to feature a removable label on the front of the bottle to reveal a hidden message—and had no idea if this was technically possible. After an enormous amount of research and development, print trials, cutter trials and label application trials, bingo! We had our label.
Complementing this, an elegant logo featuring the hands of a clock. A moment in time, with an exceptional bottle of wine.
Callum was a dream to work with on this brand creation, never faltering in his vision to honour the traditional and celebrate the experience. It was uncompromised quality all the way, from the French bottle and long neck, to the stamped wax seal on the top.
