Studio 5 is an inclusive full-service creative production company that promotes equality and champions inclusion of underrepresented voices in the creative industry, and a part of the amazing family at The Fifth agency. They are specialists in making all things visual from live-action to illustration.
They’re not only a production company but a platform for representing and lifting amazing and diverse artists, aiming to level the playing field and celebrate diversity through people’s lived experiences, lifestyles and cultures; so we created a logo that convey that feeling of endorsement to their, feeling like a signature, that also features a gestural stroke that fosters a strong human connection with their audience and artists.
The visual system also features a vivid color palette, that choirs to that diversity, with a strong brand accent color, that cuts through almost any kind of image (photo or illustration), allowing them side by side with their champions’ art. The brand also features a grotesque typeface for texts, and a soft gentle headline typeface that completes a warm and friendly, but yet modern brand system, that has a lot of range for their inhouse team to play around with. Also, to further explore the idea of the signature, we set up a few guidelines for the agency’s artist to be able to come up with their own iterations and reinterpretations of the logo, and make it their own, as well as encouraging the logo to be masked in it’s applications, in order to live within the layers of the illustrators or artists’ artwork.
