Geist*Studio Partners with Richmond Foundation to Launch New Brand Identity

Geist*Studio Partners with Richmond Foundation to Launch New Brand Identity

Geist*Studio is proud to unveil the complete rebrand of Richmond Foundation (formerly known as Richmond Parish Lands Charity), an independent charity that supports the residents of the London Borough of Richmond to build healthy and fulfilling lives. The new brand identity is the result of a collaborative process that sought to reinforce Richmond Foundation’s commitment to being a trusted, adaptable, and responsive partner within the community.

The rebrand initiative emerged from Richmond Foundation’s desire to create a more accessible and consistent identity, one that reflects its mission to foster equitable opportunities and provide high-quality support to all residents. The design vision emphasises ‘a strong foundation’ as a cornerstone of the charity’s efforts to create lasting and impactful change across Richmond.

“At the heart of our rebranding work with Richmond Foundation is the belief that every individual deserves the chance to thrive,” shared Mat Moses, Creative Director at Geist*Studio. “We worked closely with the team to reimagine the brand’s visual language in a way that honours the Foundation’s legacy while embracing a modern and dynamic future.”

A New Visual Language for a New Era

The new brand identity features a suite of carefully crafted design elements, each symbolising Richmond Foundation’s core values of Excellence, Collaborative, Integrity, Agile and Ambitious.

The reimagined logo incorporates the initial “R” in the form of interlocking speech bubbles – a symbol of the Foundation’s commitment to ensuring all voices are heard. The use of negative space highlights the connections formed through the Foundation’s support, while geometric shapes convey both strength and reliability.

The new colour palette combines three main tones – Moss, Maroon, and Marble – with three accent tones – Teal, Pink, and Orange. Together, these colours create a versatile palette that balances neutrality with vibrancy, ensuring a timeless look across print and digital platforms. The bold shades add personality and dynamism to the brand, while the primary tones ensure clarity and legibility.

The rebrand includes a refreshed user interface and an updated suite of print materials, ensuring that Richmond Foundation’s new look is consistent and impactful across all channels. Each touchpoint – from digital screens to printed brochures – reflects the Foundation’s core mission to support a diverse and vibrant community.

“The design process for Richmond Foundation was about capturing both strength and inclusion,” said Franziska März, Designer at Geist*Studio. “We wanted every aspect of the brand to feel welcoming and enduring, with a visual language that resonates across all communities.”

A Collaborative Vision for Impact

Richmond Foundation’s rebrand embodies a vision of collaboration, innovation, and adaptability – values that align seamlessly with Geist*Studio’s approach to creative partnerships. As Richmond Foundation’s chosen creative partner, Geist*Studio is committed to supporting the organisation as it grows and adapts to meet the changing needs of the community.

“We are incredibly proud to have worked with Geist*Studio on our rebrand,” said Alex Powell, Digital Communications Manager at Richmond Foundation. “This new identity is a reflection of our renewed focus on partnership, inclusivity, and growth. Geist*Studio has played a pivotal role in re-energising our visual communications, helping to increase our community’s access to the funding opportunities we offer.”
