Botran Infinito: The Essence of Guatemala in a Rum
Botran Infinito is more than just a rum; it’s a celebration of dynamic aging, of Guatemala’s richness, and of a spirit that reaches unprecedented heights in the world of rum. Its unique journey spans eight barrels, in a process that seems to stretch into infinity.
For those discovering Guatemala, this country emerges as a hidden gem in the world of rum. Though it may not be the first name associated with this spirit, Guatemala, with its volcanoes, oceans, and jungles, is home to some of the most exquisite rums in the world, largely thanks to Ron Botran. This prestigious rum not only represents Guatemala for the most discerning palates but also redefines what dynamic aging means.
The new edition, “Botran Infinito,” takes its name as a symbol, avoiding typical tasting conventions to position itself at the pinnacle of a portfolio that is largely identified by numbers. What name, if not infinity, could stand above the iconic Botran 12, Botran 15, or Botran 18?
This “infinity of eight turns” pushes dynamic aging to new horizons, achieving a flavor made possible only by the blend of diverse ecosystems and the unique culture of Guatemala.
The visual identity of Botran Infinito has been crafted with an enveloping elegance centered on the magical number of its process, eight. The bottle, octagonal and slender, becomes a visual symbol of great impact. Its main design element features a bird evoking the quetzal, entwined in an infinity symbol that also represents the number eight on its side, releasing a drop of this precious blend.
The bottle includes a golden jewel-like cap, engraved with a motif that reflects the aging process across eight barrels, merging all elements into a single, sublime liquid. As a final touch, the bird symbol is reinforced with an infinity-inspired pattern detailed around the bottle’s neck.
