Context
Bobur Tea is a concept of the tea brand created in honor of the great commander and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, who conquered India in his time. Today, many young people know little about Babur, and we strive to awaken interest in his life and his contribution to culture among the younger generation through this project.
Task
Create a packaging design for three types of tea. The packaging should not only emphasize its connection to cultural heritage, but also offer an innovative solution.
Solution
Three packaging concepts were developed, each of which illustrates scenes from Babur’s life. The packaging is made with stained glass elements that allow light to pass through. After using tea, the package can be transformed into a decorative candlestick – this gives the package a “second life” and turns it into a functional object of decoration. Thanks to such a thought, the product becomes not just a tea, but an art object that keeps the memory of Babur.
We expect this packaging become one of the trendsetters in the industry, so that simple and boring packaging solutions develop into something more unique, and, what is even more important — something closer to the culture of Uzbekistan.
Bobur Tea packaging is capable of arousing interest in historical figures among young people by adding an interactive element. This creative solution combines respect for history and environmental awareness, as the packaging is not discarded, but continues to serve in a new format.
