New work for the lovely crew at Paisley Wines. The Texture series features three elegant, multi-layered wines built on wonderful fruit, humble wine making, rich soils and complete tannins resulting in three classic yet individual styles of
Barossa Shiraz.
“To us, the texture of a wine is more than the wine finish, it comes from all of the textural influences at the very beginning of the journey of the grape. It was important for us to let the terroir shine through to the wines to showcase the different micro climates in the wonderful sub-regions of the Barossa… and we want consumers to experience this when they taste each wine.”
The wine maker Derek Fitzgerald told us “It’s humbling to stand on the surface of the land in the northern end of the Barossa, on soils that are over 200 million years old. These soils must not only be some of the oldest in the world, but also the oldest that grapevines are planted on.”
This became the genesis of the design creation: exquisite wine millions of years in the making. Each label features different textures to create the soil and rocks – using a combination of emboss, matt high build and varnish screens…with a different foil colour high-light to represent the unearthed discovery of each wine.
The wine label design harmoniously integrates elements of ancient rocks and delicate veins to visually articulate the storied terroir where millennia-old vines thrive, encapsulating a timeless essence of heritage, strength, and refined elegance.
