Combination13 – Craft Cousins

“Craft Cousins is a four can collaboration mixer pack between Vancouver’s Parallel 49 Brewing, and four well established Alberta breweries (Blindman, Last Best, Bench Creek and Tool Shed) – Following on from their successful BC based music themed Brews Brothers pack, Parallel 49 look to extend their reach into the neighboring province with Craft CousinsSteve Kitchen of Combination13 said of the project:“We didn’t want to rinse and repeat what we’d done before with the Brews Brothers branding, so we changed up the format, and with that came a whole new design challenge – Having decided on a movie theme early on, B Movies seemed like an exciting route to debut the brand with”The pack & cans have a distinct look, dressed up a VHS movie box set with vintage looking elements to set the tone“Each beer has it’s own Monster and we had a lot of fun coming up with the titles and slogans – I really wanted to replicate that cheap pulp halftone print look B Movies and comics are so well loved for, and most importantly, make our product as unique as possible in a crowded market. With titles such as ‘It Came From The Mash Tun’ and ‘Zombies are My Brewery’ it was easy to let loose with the design and illustrations here – I’m really pleased with how it turned out and am looking forward creating to the next iteration”Craft Cousins is available exclusively province wide in Alberta right now
