We were privileged to collaborate with Van Zellers & Co, Portugal’s oldest Port wine family, in crafting the Rare Port Collection. This exclusive assortment comprises three extraordinary Tawny Ports, aged silently in oak casks for over a century—an embodiment of lifelong dedication. The first bottle, a rare gem from 1860, followed by the exquisite 1870 vintage, and the exceptional 1888 edition. Employing ancient glass-blowing techniques, we meticulously handcrafted each bottle, allowing the beauty of imperfections to shine through. Additionally, a crystal decanter was created using the same process, for proper service of these remarkable Ports. Housing this extraordinary collection, an elegant lacquered black box, reminiscent of a bar when opened, elegantly displays the ensemble. The design ethos remains clean, simple, and sleek, offering ample space to admire the bottles and their charming imperfections. These very, very old Tawny Ports serve as a tribute to Liberty, Family, and Poetry. Words commemorating this legacy are delicately engraved on the box.
