Salt Spring Cookie Co. Is a small batch, women-led business, adored and loved on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia for over 15 years. Owner Gemma McEachern’s mission is to make cookies taste as good as they look!

Caribou Creative was tasked with a packaging rebrand, with the intended goals to create something sustainable, shelf stable and resealable, and so pretty that its giftable without wrap. We went with a recyclable pouch that’s easy to fill in production and stands out well on its own from small boutiques to large retail chains.

Patterns were made from ingredients and an earthy, natural palette speak to Gemma’s ethos for the brand, in creating wholesome, preservative free baked goods with natural, high quality ingredients.

Since 2010, Creative Director Laura Prpich has developed strategic, award-winning designs and partnered with clients both large and small across various industries and sectors. She believes in helping businesses at every step of the way – from aligning inspiration, to creating business goals and objectives that turn brands into powerful story-telling experiences.

Her passion for sustainability in design has evolved throughout her career and forced her to think critically about her role and responsibility as a designer. Laura’s primary focus with any project is to guide clients through the necessary steps to help reduce their environmental impact without compromising the integrity of the design.
