Organic Cotton Swabs by Gossypium is a conceptual project that embraces basic elements. From the materials for its manufacture to how the information is presented.

The design revolves around the cotton flower called Gossypium. We decided to illustrate the flower using the same product and white paint, using the negative spaces to form each of the four buds that normally make up a flower. Dot by dot, the image that we all know of cotton is formed with a soft and delicate appearance that is perceived at first glance and which is one of the qualities of the product itself.

We used dark kraft paper as part of the organic concept and took advantage of its texture and beauty that go hand in hand with the delicate and meticulous illustration. The typography is the classic Jenson to ensure good reading of the information despite the surface. Two inks were used, black and white, and the minimum possible information on the main faces of the box. On one side, a text that explains how long it takes for the product to degrade and its characteristics to be sustainable. We highlight the description of the product more than the brand, since in this case, it is more convenient when deciding to purchase.

The shape of the box also allows you to open and close it to keep the product protected. Another feature that we wanted to add is not using glue in production.

An everyday product may go unnoticed but it undoubtedly deserves a design that motivates you to have it on your dressing table for several months.
