Objet is a home decor store with a wide range of high-end interior design brands. Founded in 2018, the company has grown rapidly and has recently come into a large funding round and plans to expand in new markets.
Makers studio helped Objet home decor into the definition of an identity that aligns with their aspiration : creating high-end, design-focused furniture.
Their intention to communicate oneness, singleness, a singular masterpiece was evident from the start.
Objet serves as the haven for local artisans who cherish shared values: exceptional and straightforward craftsmanship, homes that exude elegance and warmth. Their brand identity needed to highlight these aspects while incorporating a new element: modernity.
As we delved into sketching logo ideas, a prevailing realization emerged—simplicity was key. It needed to be effortlessly readable and possess a light composition, striking a balance between impressive quality and elegance. The final touch was infusing a sense of modernity to ensure its compatibility across all current channels.
After some time of exploration, one direction caught our attention :
Instead of crafting a logo from the fusion of multiple elements, we honed in on a singular focus: the word “Objet,” capturing the crowd’s primary attention.
We opted for the Louize Display typeface to shape our logotype, simplifying our task. Its sharp serifs, vertical stress, and high contrast between thick and thin strokes aligned perfectly with our brand identity. With a touch of heritage and age-experienced feel, it effortlessly conveyed the brand’s positioning.
