The exhibition presents works of the architectural style Deconstructivism. The title of the exhibition is “Deconstruction”. The event is dedicated to works in the deconstructivist style and by a deconstructivist architect.
Deconstructivism is a style of modern architecture that challenges traditional ideas of form and function by destroying architectural elements and reassembling them in unconventional ways. This style gained popularity in the twentieth century. Architects whose works in the deconstructivist style include Zaha Hadid, Peter Eisenman, Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhaas, Daniel Libeskind, Bernard Tschumi…
The corporate identity is based on the font. The font expresses the characteristic features of the deconstructionist style: fragmentarity, incompleteness, curvilinearity, randomness.
Many associate the appearance of the deconstructivism style with constructivism, which was also popular in the twentieth century. However, the essence of deconstructivism is the destruction of traditional form and structure. Therefore, the original letters in the font were deformed and distorted to get the final result.
The typography of the layouts was inspired by sketches by Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and Daniel Libeskind. Architects often made light linear sketches to find an idea for the future appearance of the building.
The exhibition “Deconstruction” invites visitors to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of deconstructivism. It is a world of fantastic shapes and curves, straight and sharp lines, chaos and order.
