Vibrant Brand Identity for Post Haste

How do you introduce more sustainable practices into the restaurant and bar industry without boring or lecturing your customers? For the team behind Post Haste, it started with a commitment to sourcing their entire food and beverage program from providers east of the Mississippi River. That means a focus on hyper-local liquors and cocktail ingredients, with messaging to explain the “why” behind it all. At the heart of the concept is a desire to think about what we’re all doing, the choices we make related to the world we want to create, and to really prioritize quality over quantity. Thoughtfulness over immediacy. They are all about having a good time while celebrating all that is local. Spirits from the Northeast, farm-fresh fruit juices, garden herbs, and local beers. That means thinking about where ingredients come from, why something is on the menu, and how we engage with guests to create the best experience possible.

For Cohere, the project started with a strategy and a rigorous naming process. The goal was to tell the story of craftsmanship in a food and beverage program that puts environmental impact at the front and center, without any hint of pretension or exclusivity.
Constructing the brand identity for Post Haste, we explored visual references of earth science, music and art that all come together in an unpretentious, yet thoughtful setting. The result is a wordmark that is distinct with supporting motifs that connect its geometric and artful style. We created the core identity including the logo, monogram, color palette, supporting typography and graphics. We applied these brand assets to menus, signage, coasters, merchandise, web design and social media. After the rush of a long day, regulars have found comfort in the Post Haste experience.

PUNCH named Post Haste one of five “Best New Bars” in 2023, applauding it’s fun-loving, yet hyperlocal ethos.
